On November 3, 2012, a collaborative effort that included the Highlander Institute, hosted the first ever EdCamp in Rhode Island at Rhode Island College!
Now, you may be asking yourself: What exactly is an EdCamp? How is it different than an education conference?
An EdCamp is an UN-conference organized by local groups of educators. It is flexible and based on the needs of the participants. An EdCamp is more of an open forum with no predetermined presenters or topics where the participants self-select what they want to learn more about!
The first ever EdCamp RI was such a success that we look forward to hosting many more in the future! Make sure you stay connected to the Highlander Institute via our Website, Facebook, and Twitter for upcoming EdCamps!
