The Highlander Institute is seeking an Educational Strategies Specialist to support blended and personalized learning initiatives in classrooms in Rhode Island and the surrounding areas. The person selected for this position will provide high quality professional learning services, develop relationships with school stakeholders, and act as a liaison between Highlander Institute and assigned schools. The Educational Strategies Specialist will work with schools and districts to develop clear and actionable implementation plans, and will document and report consistently on implementation progress. The Educational Strategies Specialist will support classroom teachers as they deliver blended and personalized instruction, modeling effective instructional strategies and providing written and verbal feedback.
Applicants for this position must have a clear understanding of blended and personalized learning theory, pedagogy and practice as well as an understanding of adult learning theory, and experience delivering professional development. Facility with technology and knowledge of K-12 instructional technology are highly recommended. Strong communication, documentation and organizational skills are a must, as is a willingness to learn and grow.
