Highlander Institute is Seeking a Part Time Bookkeeper

The Highlander Institute is an education non-profit organization focused on researching,
developing and disseminating innovative educational methods to improve outcomes for all
learners. Highlander Institute focuses on methods that work to create student-centered,
personalized learning environments through various models and outreach efforts, improving
teaching and learning across the region.

We are seeking a part time bookkeeper for approximately 15-20 hours a week to assist the
Director of Finance in accounting/bookkeeping duties.

Job Duties:
 Processing and paying various accounts payable invoices
 Processing bank deposits
 Reconciliation of Credit Cards
 Posting payroll disbursement entries from bank accounts
 Other general ledger entries, analysis and reconciliation
 Assist with compilation and organization of the Human Resources files
 Other duties as assigned

Qualified applicants will possess the following skills:
 Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience
 Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel
 Experience with Quickbooks
 Excellent attention to detail
 Organization
 Independent Worker
 Willingness to learn
 Excellent written and oral communication skills

Supervision Required: Reports to the Director of Finance
